Planet Fitness, Boys & Girls Club host holiday toy drive

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and in an effort to bring a little holiday magic to Maricopa kids and teens, Planet Fitness and the Boys & Girls Club of the Casa Grande Valley is making it their mission to give the gift of joy this holiday season by partnering together to host their annual Holiday Toy Drive.

To donate, community members are invited to visit Planet Fitness in Maricopa (20595 N. John Wayne Parkway, Suite 400) to drop off any unwrapped toys for Club Kids ranging from ages 5 to 18 years old. For many local kids and teens, items donated in the drive will be the only gifts they will receive this holiday season.

The holiday toy drive runs through Wednesday, Dec. 11. Gift recommendations include:

5-9 Years

• Sports Equipment
• Legos/Building Kits
• Construction Toys
• Dolls & Doll Clothes
• Action Figures
• Model or Craft Kits
• Non-Toxic Art Supplies
• Chapter Books with Trendy Titles
• Board Games

10-12 Years

• Sports Equipment
• Legos/Building Kits
• Model or Craft Kits
• Non-Toxic Art Supplies
• Chapter Books
• Board Games
• Jewelry
• Make-Up Kits
• Movie Passes
• Sport Team Related Hats, Beanies, etc.

13-18 Years

• Sports Equipment
• Jewelry and Accessories
• Make-Up Kits
• Gift Cards in $15 increments (Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, Subway, McDonald’s, Starbucks, etc.)
• Picture Frames
• Non-Toxic Art Supplies
• Age-Appropriate Books
• Board Games
• Movie Passes

In 2018, Planet Fitness donated over 1,000 new toys to the Boys & Girls Clubs in Arizona, ensuring more kids and teens in the area were able to share in the joy of opening a gift.
