Planning & Zoning Commission meets Tuesday to review subdivision regulations and the ethanol plant’s site plan

Maricopa’s Planning & Zoning Commission will address only two agenda items at their Monday meeting. One is the approval of the site plan for an ethanol plant on Cowtown Road, south of the city. The second item is a review of proposed subdivision regulations as part of the City Code. The agenda follows:

5.0 Executive Session

5.1 The Planning & Zoning Commission will go into executive session for purposes of obtaining legal advice from the City’s attorney regarding open meeting law issues and to discuss Ponal Energy’s proposed Ethanol Plant pursuant to A.R.S.§ 38-431.03 (A)(3).

6.0. Agenda Items

6.1 SPR-06.01: The applicant, Pinal Energy LLC, is requesting approval for a site plan, elevations and landscape plans along with the grading and drainage plans to construct an ethanol plant on 45.4± acres within a CI-2 Heavy Industrial Zone. The site is accessed off of Cowtown Road, south of Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway, west of Fuqua Road within the southeast Maricopa city limits. Discussion Only.

6.2 TXT05-06: This is the third meeting to review the proposed Subdivision Regulations (Article 14 of the City Code) specifically for the City of Maricopa. The new Subdivision Regulations would repeal the existing Article 14 of the Maricopa City Code, City of Maricopa Subdivision Regulations, in its entirety and adopt a new Article 14 of the Maricopa City Code, City of Maricopa Subdivision Regulations. This particular meeting is on the proposed “Chapter 5, Master Plan Development (M.P.D) and Planned Area Development (P.A.D.)” and “Chapter 6, Design Standards.” This is an informational and discussion item only. Discussion Only.
