Dear Editor:

Here in Casa Grande we can be proud that both our school systems are doing well but our elementary school system has been doing exceptionally well. The accomplishments and rankings of our elementary schools improve annually. There are many people involved in this annual progress that include great parents, teachers, staff, and administrators. However the vision, the guidelines and directions are all provided by the Casa Grande Elementary School Board. Unfortunately the leader of that board for the last several years is not running for re-election. His wisdom, charm and gentle manner of direction that has resulted in awards and accolades for many under his tutelage will be greatly missed by the school district. Fortunately though, Tom Hollenbach is not bowing out of public service.

Despite all the noise that is currently being made between the two men who are battling each other for election as a county supervisor candidate in the upcoming primary, the real election for County Supervisor doesn’t begin until September 3rd when Tom Hollenbach enters the general election as the only unopposed candidate in the race. Regardless of which other candidate prevails in their primary, Tom Hollenbach will be the only candidate that offers the kind of visionary leadership that can lead Pinal County out of the morass of a failed infrastructure, collapsed housing values and excessive taxation that the current supervisors have wrought upon us.

Tom is a private sector businessman who has successfully weathered the burdens of a bureaucracy that believes higher taxes are the answer and more government is the solution. His approach to expanded economic development is the only path that guarantees real solutions to the counties deficits. Tom understands that more jobs, better paying jobs, and higher skilled jobs are the key to our future. The expansion of our existing industrial and manufacturing base and policies that attract new base industry will provide the stimulus and growth that our local economies need. Then the funding necessary to provide for the safety of our citizens, improve our roads, lower our taxes, and restore vitality to our neighborhoods will become available to the County and our municipalities.

Tom Hollenbach offers the kind of change in leadership we need in Pinal County that combines both years of proven business accomplishment and experienced citizen government leadership. Tom Hollenbach is the best of both worlds. His leadership has guided Casa Grande’s schools to great heights and those same skills will inspire Pinal County’s government to become the best that it can be as well.
