Maricopa Police arrested a man suspected of driving under the influence with a suspended license along John Wayne Parkway early Saturday morning.

An officer stopped a vehicle driving south on John Wayne Parkway near Edison Road at about 12:16 a.m. on Feb. 11. During the stop, Randall Wilcox, 24, appeared impaired and the officer found open beer and vodka bottles inside the vehicle.

A breathalyzer test showed Wilcox’s blood-alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit. The officer also found that Wilcox had a suspended license related to a previous extreme DUI, as well as a revoked Nevada driver’s license, according to police documents.

Wilcox was arrested and charged with aggravated DUI, driving on a suspended driver’s license and being in possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. A preliminary court date is scheduled for Feb. 17 at Pinal County Superior Court in Florence.
