A verbal dispute at a local carwash turned into an alleged assault on Wednesday afternoon, police say.

Guadalupe H. Ceballos, 46, faces charges of disorderly conduct, and two charges of assault, one of which is a domestic violence charge.

At around 3 p.m., officers were dispatched to Fast & Friendly Express Carwash, located at 20168 North John Wayne Parkway, in reference to a fight. Dispatch informed responding officers that two males were arguing, and that the male, later identified as Ceballos, had hit a female, police said.

It was later determined that the second male was also a victim of an alleged assault, police said.

According to the probable cause statement, the male victim told officers that he and the female victim were on their way to pick up Ceballos from the carwash because he was intoxicated at the time.

Ceballos and the male victim got into a verbal argument about money issues, when Ceballos allegedly began shoving the victim, police said.

The male victim told officers that once Ceballos was informed that law enforcement was enroute, he observed Ceballos walk towards the female victim, who was sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, and slapped her in the face, police said.

The female victim told officers that Ceballos slapped her on her right cheek with his right hand.

According to the probable cause statement, multiple witnesses stated that they observed Ceballos hit push the male victim and walk toward the female victim and hit her.

The male victim and Ceballos both left in another car and went back to their residence after the dispute and before officers arrived.

At 5:40 p.m., Ceballos was apprehended on N. Blade Road, and was later booked into Pinal County Jail, where he remained as of Thursday morning.
