Columnist Joan Koczor wrote a column for the May issue of InMaricopa Magazine relating to driving in your senior years and the question of how old is too old to be on the road.

Several states have implemented requirements for older drivers; Arizona has not (yet) followed suit.

InMaricopa asked readers what age they thought was too old to drive.

About six out of 10 voters said, “It depends.” Three percent (3%) said you can never be too old to drive, and many others thought Father Time should decide:

  • 70s is too old – 5%
  • 80s is too old – 19%
  • 90s+ is too old – 7%

One hundred one readers participated in the unscientific poll.
