The Salsa Festival Night Market is one of the city's premier family events. Our reader poll results show people want to read more about such events.

Our weekly InMaricopa reader poll gave our audience a chance to weigh in on issues important to our city. We enjoy receiving that input, as it helps us deliver the news our readers want.

This week, we wanted to find out what our readers want to see more of outside of hard news.

We asked, “What lifestyle activities would you like to see more coverage of on InMaricopa.com and InMaricopa magazine?

“Family activities in town” was the clear choice, garnering 48.8% of the votes.

“Home improvements” was the second-most popular response, at 31.7%.

Coming in third was, “Fitness and health,” at 17.1%.

“Motherhood” brought up the rear at 2.4%.

The city puts on a wide range of family-oriented events, such as Night Market events and July 4 fireworks. There also are charitable events like Relay for Life, a variety of city and private youth-sports opportunities, and events and activities available through the city’s Parks, Recreation and Library Department, including summer and after-school programs at Copper Sky Regional Park.
