Wet weather could be in store for Maricopa this weekend, according to reports from the National Weather Service. An exceptionally hot Friday will likely give way to a few weekend showers, though any precipitation is not likely to cool things off much.

Friday is forecast to be sunny, calm and hot with a high near 113 during the day and a low near 89 at night as a slight 10 percent chance of showers moves in around 11 p.m.

Saturday should be partly cloudy and calm with a high around 109 during the day with a 10 percent chance of rain starting around noon turning into a 20 percent chance in the evening while the low drops down near 89.

Sunday will likely also be partly cloudy with an early 10 percent chance of showers during the day as the high reaches up near 107 and then drops to a low around 88 as the chance of rain increases to 20 percent.

Monday looks to see a continuation of the weekend weather cycle with an early 10 percent chance of rain becoming 20 percent in the evening as the daily high creeps up around 106 during the day and drops to a low around 88 at night.
