PRL Advisory Committee accepts resignation of Christopher Wendt

The Parks, Recreation and Libraries Committee will hold a special meeting Tuesday to accept a letter of resignation from committee member and recorder, Chris Wendt. The committee will also begin the process of determining park rules and regulations, which will then be given to the city council. The meeting’s agenda follows:

Items on the agenda are open for citizen input. Please fill out a card and present it to the Committee Chair before the meeting begins. The Committee Chair will call upon you for your comments.

3.1 Resignation of Christopher Wendt. The PRL Committee will take action on accepting a letter of resignation from PRL Committee member Christopher Wendt and recommend to the Maricopa City Council to begin a recruitment process to fulfill the balance of Mr. Wendt’s term, which expires in November 2007.

3.2 Minutes Recorder. Committee will approve an official minutes recorder to replace Christopher Wendt, current minutes recorder.

3.3 Park Rules and Regulations. Committee will officially begin the process of researching and drafting park rules and regulations to pass onto the Maricopa City council.

4.0 Call to the Public

The procedures to follow if you address the Committee are: The Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee requests that you express your ideas in five minutes or less and refrain from any personal attacks or derogatory statements about any City employee, a fellow citizen, or anyone else, whether in the audience or not. The Committee Chair will limit discussion whenever he/she deems such an action appropriate to the proper conduct of the meeting. At the conclusion of an open call to the public, individual members of the Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed the Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee may ask Staff to review a matter, or may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda. However, members of the Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee shall not discuss or take legal action on any matters during an open call to the public unless the matters are properly noticed for discussion and legal action.
