PRL Advisory Committee to receive updates on upcoming PRL programs and events

The Parks, Recreation and Libraries (PRL) Committee will meet Tuesday morning to hear an update on the PRL Department’s lineup of fall events and the programs in the fall issue of The Activator. The committee will plant a tree at Pacana Park as a memorial to members of the Aviles family. The meeting agenda follows:

Items on the agenda are open for citizen input. Please fill out a card and present it to the Committee Chair before the meeting begins. The Committee Chair will call upon you for your comments.

3.1 Approval of Minutes. Committee will review and approve minutes from the July meetings. Discussion and possible action.

3.2 Fall Activator. Recreation Coordinator Maria Billingsley will update the PRL Committee on the Fall issue of The Activator. Discussion only.

3.3 PRL Department Update. Committee will listen to an update on PRL Department activities for the remainder of 2006 and preview the first quarter of 2007.

3.4 Pacana Park Tour. Committee will depart City Hall and visit Pacana Park and plant a tree in honor and memory of the Aviles Family. Discussion only.

4.0 Call to the Public

The procedures to follow if you address the Committee are: The Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee requests that you express your ideas in five minutes or less and refrain from any personal attacks or derogatory statements about any City employee, a fellow citizen, or anyone else, whether in the audience or not. The Committee Chair will limit discussion whenever he/she deems such an action appropriate to the proper conduct of the meeting. At the conclusion of an open call to the public, individual members of the Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed the Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee may ask Staff to review a matter, or may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda. However, members of the Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee shall not discuss or take legal action on any matters during an open call to the public unless the matters are properly noticed for discussion and legal action.
