Maricopa’s Parks, Recreation and Libraries Committee will welcome two newly appointed members when they meet on Monday morning. They will also finalize the first draft of the Park rules and regulations as well as plans for the First Annual Recreation Town Hall meeting. The agenda follows:

Items on the agenda are open for citizen input. Please fill out a card and present it to the Committee Chair before the meeting begins. The Committee Chair will call upon you for your comments.

3.1 Welcome New Members. The PRL Committee will welcome new members Theresa Farley and Melanie Anderson to the committee.

3.2 Recreation Town Hall. Committee will finalize plans for the 1st Annual Recreation Town Hall meeting scheduled for May 18, 2006.

3.3 Park Rules and Regulations. Committee will review, comment and direct staff to complete the first draft of Park, Rules and Regulations.

4.0 Call to the Public

The procedures to follow if you address the Committee are: The Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee requests that you express your ideas in five minutes or less and refrain from any personal attacks or derogatory statements about any City employee, a fellow citizen, or anyone else, whether in the audience or not. The Committee Chair will limit discussion whenever he/she deems such an action appropriate to the proper conduct of the meeting. At the conclusion of an open call to the public, individual members of the Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed the Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee may ask Staff to review a matter, or may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda. However, members of the Parks, Recreation and Library Advisory Committee shall not discuss or take legal action on any matters during an open call to the public unless the matters are properly noticed for discussion and legal action.
