Maricopa is under a flash-flood watch through Friday afternoon in the wake of this week’s rain, which continues today, according to the National Weather Service.

However, the weekend forecast calls for lots of sun Saturday and Sunday before the return of more rain next week.

Today is cloudy with 90% chance of rain and a high temperature around 70 degrees F. Accumulation is expected to be between a tenth of an inch and a quarter of an inch. The high possibility for rain continues tonight, when the low will be around 53.

Friday, showers are likely after 11 a.m. The day will likely be partly sunny with a high near 69 and breezes of 10-15 mph gusting up to 20 mph. The chance of rain is 60%. The overnight low will be around 47 as the chance of showers drops to 20%.

Saturday is predicted to be sunny with a high near 72. The nighttime low will be around 48.

Sunday also has a sunny forecast, with a predicted high of 75. The night is expected to be mostly clear with a low around 48

Though Monday will be much the same, Tuesday is forecast to blow in with more rain that will continue into at least Wednesday.
