Matt Clark drove in five runs on three hits to lead Maricopa High School to a 15-2 baseball win over Yuma Catholic.

“This was the first time we really put it all together,” Coach Steven Pappas said. “All phases of the game were there.”

The Rams had 13 hits, and pitcher Lionel Iglesias threw a solid game, giving up only two runs on two hits and striking out seven batters. He also helped his team offensively, going two for three with two doubles.

The win brings the Rams to 4-1 in league play and gave Yuma Catholic its first league loss.

The Maricopa baseball team plays Monday at Matt Huffman Field.
