Readers, advertisers instrumental in 85239.com’s birthday celebration

It officially began two years ago today on March 15, 2004. That was the day inmaricopa.com’s first news story was published, and the proverbial snowball was formed.

“Two years ago we were dying for events to cover,” according to Scott Bartle, inmaricopa.com’s publisher. “Now there is so much happening in Maricopa that it takes all of our resources just to keep up!”

With more than 1,200 registered Open Forum users and 2,000 visits to the site every day, 85329.com’s exponential growth has mirrored that of the city. And an appreciative Bartle knows who to thank for it. “The reception we have received from our readers has been phenomenal,” Bartle says. “Without our loyal readers, advertisers and staff, we could not provide this valuable resource for our growing community.”
