Casa Grand Public Works announced an Automated Flagger Assistance Device (AFAD) will be used to control Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway traffic Sept. 20-24. The AFAD will be in operation for five days while asphalt paving is completed at West Val Vista Boulevard and Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway.
Traffic will alternate getting a red/green light. Vehicles going to Maricopa will stop while traffic going to Casa Grande has a green light. Then vehicles going to Casa Grande will stop while traffic going to Maricopa has a green light. This will cause some delays.
