Roost Motorsports has opened in Thunderbird Farms to provide sales and service on motorbikes and more.

Colin Krabbe and Michael Plesh opened Roost in May at 50741 W. Papago Road. It sells used bikes and has service and parts for dirt bikes, street bikes, ATVs, SxS’s and personal watercraft.

“I previously had a private shop at my home in Maine, but on a referral basis only,” Krabbe said. “Previously I managed automotive shops for the last 10 years.”

Krabbe is passing on his lifelong love of riding to his young family, “even down to my 2-year-old son, who rides as often as he can.”

The Roost Motorsports storefront is near his home south of Maricopa.

“We live here, love it and want to support the town in which our kids will grow up,” Krabbe said.

Roost has three employees at the shop. The business plan is to expand to another location focusing on retail in the next five years and maintain the current location for sales and service.
