Sand artist Joe Castillo, a storyteller and finalist from NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” will present SandStory tonight at Central Arizona College in Maricopa.
SandStory consists of art images created by Castillo as he draws in sand with his Hands-on light table. This captivating performance is scored and choreographed to live or recorded music with a video projected on a screen for large audiences.
Castillo has been seen live in all seven continents, over 43 countries, and in 35 different languages. He has done event for world leaders including President Carter, President Bush, President Clinton, Hillary Rodham Clinton, President Juan Manuel Santos and King Abdullah.
Tonight’s show starts at 7 p.m. in Building A, Room 101, at CAC, 17945 N. Regent Drive. Cost is $5 for general admission, free for students.
