The students from the Santa Rosa Elementary School’s National Elementary Honor Society completed a service project to assist the homeless students in the Maricopa Unified School District.
The students collected fleece and worked together to assemble 18 blankets. They came to school early for two weeks to complete the project; the blankets were distributed last week.
Santa Rosa honor society sponsor Stephanie Rinehart said, “They were quite proud of their accomplishment.”
