At their March 23 meeting, the Maricopa Unified School District school board voted to table the proposed reduction in force of 74 district employees; 70 were certified positions.

During Wednesday’s meeting, the board will be presented with a new list that includes 60 employees, 48 of these are certified positions. The positions include teachers and district employees.

In addition the board will be review a proposal to provide insurance benefits to the employees of MUSD. The insurance committee, headed by Human Resources Director Tom Beckett, will be presenting a bid to the board that was voted on by the committee after a review process. MUSD worked with the Bagnall Company to find the coverage and scored each proposal using evaluation criteria that was part of the proposal.
