Why are you running? To bring sensible, responsible, conservative leadership to the Arizona Legislature.

What differentiates you from your opponent? I believe in public education, supporting veterans, protecting taxpayers and enhancing Arizona’s reputation. I will advance legislation that effectively addresses our border crisis. An entrepreneur, business owner and school board member, I have intimate knowledge of some of the biggest issues facing our community and state, such as job creation and education. I am not a career politician, nor do I want to be. I will always be honest and forthright with constituents, even if it may not seem personally advantageous. I will make sound decisions grounded in the principles of low taxes, limited government and personal responsibility that advance my constituents’ lives, not an ideology. Plus, I will listen to all stakeholders, be accountable to my constituents and prioritize good public policy over politics.

What qualifies you to serve in this capacity? I am an entrepreneur and a small business owner. I have experience as an elected official and public-policy maker, and I possess the leadership skills and personality to be an effective representative of my constituents at the Capitol. I will study the issues with an open mind, think independently, collaborate with others and focus on results. I am mindful that public service is just that; I serve my constituents, not myself.

What will you do for Maricopa if elected? I will provide Maricopans a direct, accessible link to the Legislature, and I will proactively work with officials from city government, most of whom I’ve known and worked with for years, to champion causes necessary to help Maricopa attract high-paying jobs, grow its economic base and improve educational opportunities. I will also work to restore all of the transportation funding due Maricopa, and I will help city leaders in their efforts to ensure and expedite the State Route 347 overpass.

What do you like most about campaigning? Meeting fellow citizens and business people.

What do you like least about campaigning? The sense that you could always do more – much more.

What politician do you admire most, and why? Pope Francis, for his selflessness and humility.

What is your favorite sports team? Indiana Hoosiers

What is your favorite drink? Chocolate milk

What is your favorite TV show? “Modern Family”

With what three people would you most like to golf or dine? Wayne Brady, Justin Timberlake, Jimmy Fallon and my dad (I’ll caddie)
