Senita woman wins 42-inch plasma television

More than a week after the last chip hit the dip, the Maricopa Salsa Festival Presented by inmaricopa.com is still adding spice to the life of at least one Senita resident.

That’s because Orbitel Communications announced Monday the winner of a 42-inch plasma HD television from Orbitel Communications.

“Now this is exciting,” said Wanda Thiery, when Orbitel President and CEO Keith Kirkman showed up to personally deliver the television to her home.

Because the television was too big for their entertainment center, the Thiery family rearranged their furniture to accomodate the new set. Because the family planned to begin using their prize right away, her husband took the day off from work, moved the furniture and settled in to watch a little family programming.

Thiery won the contest after she was automatically entered for answering a five-question survey at the Orbitel Communications and Data Doctors booth during the salsa festival at Pacana Park (see “Salsa festival attracts record crowd”).

Orbitel Communications is a Maricopa company providing digital cable television, high-speed Internet, and digital phone. It is located in Bashas’ Shopping Center on John Wayne Parkway.
