Former Maricopa man goes to prison for sex crimes

A former Maricopa man was sentenced to 24 years in prison by Pinal County Superior Court for multiple sex charges brought against him by the Maricopa Police Department. Timothy Kreus, 42, also was sentenced to lifetime probation and will be required to register as a sex offender.

The Pinal County and Pima County attorneys’ offices worked together to bring the case to a close. He had been arrested by the Pima County Sheriff’s Office in February 2010 on abduction charges.

His charges in Pinal County include child molestation, sexual exploitation of a minor and indecent exposure.
