Shots fired in Desert Cedars

At approximately 10:20 p.m. Saturday night, Maricopa Police responded to several reports of shots fired in Desert Cedars.

While no injuries were reported, there was damage done to a vehicle involved, according to police. MPD spokesman Ricardo Alvarado stated the shooting was not a random act, and investigators are still working the case at this time.

“We believe everyone involved has been identified,” Alvarado said. “This is all we are releasing at this time.”

Witnesses said up to nine shots were fired during an altercation.
