Maricopa Unified School District met in a second and final cross country competition Tuesday at Maricopa High School.

Athletes from all six of the district’s elementary schools participated.

“It was amazing to see all of the athletes times improve,” Butterfield Elementary School p.e. teacher Steve Sorenson said. “The biggest improvement was by Butterfield sixth-grader Macayla Barbaglia who helped her team win the girls meet. She was able to improve her time from 16:28 to 11:53, which led to seventh place (individually) in the girls race.”
