Donate socks to benefit the troops

Evan Grace, an incoming freshman at Maricopa High School, is running a sock drive for military personnel June 7-30.

It is part of the Maricopa Blue Star Mothers’ efforts to send packages to deployed members of the armed forces.

Evan will put drop-off boxes at locations around Maricopa, including Ace Hardware, Headquarters Restaurant, UltraStar Multi-tainment Center, Copa Craze and Copper Sky Multigenerational Center.

New socks, particularly black crew socks, are needed.
