Southwest Peddlers is moving to Phoenix

Southwest Peddlers is moving to Phoenix in search of more retail space at a reasonable rate so it can expand.

All merchandise is on sale at reduced prices until it closes its doors at 21116 N. John Wayne Parkway, suite B1.

“We hope to be out by May 15, but very well could be here until the end of the month,” said Loland Armstrong, owner of the store that features western gear from boots and purses to shirts, skirts and jeans.

The owners are moving the store because they want to expand their business, and all of the larger facilities in Maricopa are too expensive to rent.

“It is just less expensive in Phoenix,” Armstrong said.

The new location will boast 2,500 square feet of western wear, as opposed to the Maricopa store, which slightly more than 900 square feet to sell their merchandise.

All three store employees will retain their jobs and work at the new location, 1625 E. Indian School Road in Phoenix.
