Spay, neuter vouchers available for low-income families’ pets

752

Pinal County Animal Care and Control has $1,300 in spay and neuter vouchers available to low-income families.

In this economy other issues may seem more important, but pets belonging to low-income families can still be spayed or neutered.

County vouchers are good for 30 days, but before they are picked up, owners must have made an appointment to have the procedure performed on their pet.

When making the appointment, let the office contacted know that a Pinal County voucher will be used.

Maricopa Animal Hospital (520-568-2224) and the MASH Clinic-Mobile Animal Surgical Hospital (480-656-4479) both accept the vouchers. MASH will be in Maricopa on Jan. 14. After making the appointment at either of these facilities, the pet owner must go to Pinal County Animal Care & Control in Casa Grande at 764 S. Eleven Mile Corner Rd. (520-509-3555) to sign the verification of low income and obtain the voucher.

Forms cannot be sent or faxed except for extenuating circumstances.

If you think you meet the requirements or have additional questions, contact Cathy Flanagan at Pinal County Animal Care and Control at 520-866-7617.
