The northbound lanes of State Route 347 are closed north of town at Casa Blanca Road due to a serious accident, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The closure is due to a crash at milepost 180, which is north of the BASF and Cemex plants between Casa Blanca and Riggs roads.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek an alternate route.
There is no estimated time to reopen the northbound lanes. The southbound lanes are not affected.
UPDATE: ADOT reported at 4:40 a.m. that the blockage had been removed and the northbound lanes were once again open.
