Eight weeks of pavement maintenance will begin Sunday on a more than 15-mile stretch of State Route 347.

UPDATE: The 8-week project on SR 347 will not be starting Sunday night

The work will be done between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Sunday to Thursday, beginning this week, between Hathaway Avenue in Maricopa and I-10, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Lane restrictions – both northbound and southbound – will be in place through Dec. 24. Traffic will be restricted to one lane. Work will be limited to one direction of travel during each overnight restriction.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway. Work schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
