As America’s birthday celebrations kick into gear Tuesday, Maricopa should expect clear skies and moderate to high heat which is likely to carry on throughout the week, according to the National Weather Service. A light wind may also move in midweek, bringing with it a small chance of rain over the weekend.

Today is forecast to be sunny and mostly clear with a high near 106 during the day and a low around 86 at night.

Independence Day (Tuesday) looks to again be sunny and mostly clear with a high around 109 during the day and a low near 85 at night.

Wednesday should be sunny and a bit breezy with a high near 110 during the day and a low around 86 at night while winds gust between 15-20 mph throughout the day.

Thursday will likely be sunny and hot with a high around 110 during the day and a low near 88 at night.

Friday looks to be mostly sunny and hot with a high around 111 during the day and a 20 percent chance of rain in the evening as the temperature drops to a low near 88.
