Teen dance club opening Dec. 19

Maricopa residents ages 15 to 20 looking for a little nightlife in town will be in luck beginning Dec. 19.

On that date Maricopa resident, Daniel Agloro, better known as DJ Fresco, will roll out a weekly event called Pinal County Teen night.

The event, which is sponsored by Krunk Energy Drinks, will be hosted each Sunday from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. at the New HQ Restaurant and Lounge 19640 N. Maricopa Road.

“This will be a safe place for Pinal County’s young adults to have a good time,” Agloro said. “We hope it can keep kids off the streets and give them a positive outlet.”

Agloro said he would work to bring different DJ’s, musicians and other artist to the event each Sunday

He also said he will enforce a strict dress code and have security in place to ensure the safety of the event and to make sure no one older then 20 or younger than 15 is allowed in.

“I have been organizing events for the past couple years and have not had one incident of violence,” Agloro said.

Agloro said he plans an $8 cover charge, except for the first hour, during which all women will be let in for free.

Attendees will be able to purchase a wide variety of non-alcoholic beverages.

“There was a gap in the market place for this type of venue and I hope we can fill it,” he said.
