Thai Chili 2 Go adds spice to dining scene in days

Maricopa residents looking for a wider array of dining options can add Thai Chili 2 Go to their rotation in just a matter of days.

The restaurant, located near John Wayne Parkway and Hathaway Avenue, has a tentative opening date for the week of June 19, according to Regional Manager Pete Davies. 

“We’re looking at roughly around June 21,” he said.  

The restaurant is still finalizing interior construction and installations, so Davies advised that date could change. One of the installations includes a mural on its east wall that features desert landscapes, Thai imagery and even some Maricopa landmarks and art.  

Thai Chili 2 Go is a fast-casual Thai restaurant based in Arizona. It boasts a menu that features curry, noodles, fried rice and soup dishes. However, two recognizable options are their biggest sellers.  

“Pad Thai is our biggest seller and drunken noodles is a big one, too,” Davies said. “People know those names. Sometimes people are afraid to try other items because they don’t know what pad prig pao noodles are even though it’s a very good dish.”

This marks Thai Chili 2 Go’s 15th location in Arizona and Maricopa’s first Thai restaurant. It’s an exciting prospect, according to Davies.

“We’re it,” Davies said. “We’re going to be busy. We’re going to be very, very busy.” 

With that expectation for high traffic, Davies said the restaurant is still hiring for front and back of house positions, including cooks, cashiers and line cooks. Applicants can visit the restaurant’s website for details.
