Thankful Bahama Buck’s owners plan for celebration

It has been a year since Bahama Buck’s opened its doors in Maricopa, and the owners, Adelaide Appiah and her husband, Collins, are grateful.

Adelaide pointed out that the reception from the community has been overwhelmingly positive.

Adelaide said that since opening the restaurant, the support has come from many different walks of life in Maricopa. She offered her thanks to the police officers, fire service, schools, and everyone who has come by in the last year.

So, in appreciation of that reception, Bahama Buck’s, located at: 17470 N Porter Road has planned a celebration on Saturday, Nov. 13 for the community.

The party will start at 6 p.m. and will continue until 9 p.m. There will be a DJ, a photo booth and plenty of giveaways.

But, wait, there’s more.

In addition to the party on the night of November 13, there will be specials all day.

Adelaide pointed out that the celebration is a statement of their gratitude.

“We give thanks to God, for giving us the great opportunity to be able to serve the people of Maricopa” she said.

Adelaide also said that she and her husband are grateful for their staff, which have played a major role in a successful first year.

“We have the most awesome crew members who have made all this possible and we truly appreciate them!” Adelaide added.

Recently, Bahama Buck’s simplified their menu, as Collins explained.

“Corporate wide, they decided to simplify the process, so it makes it easy for people to see what’s available and to be able to have a good experience” he said.

Oreo flavor is available on a limited time basis, but other fan favorites, like Strawberry and Cherry will continue to be available.

Bahama Buck’s also has fall flavors right now, including Candy Corn and Caramel Apple.

BRINGING THE BUCK’S

The Appiahs fell in love with Bahama Buck’s years ago, when their youngest daughter had earned some coupons called BEEP! (Buck’s Encouraging Education Program) for good behavior in school.

When the Appiahs went to redeem their free sno, they started to wonder if there was a way they could get involved. They had already been wanting to open a franchise but had not decided on which one they wanted.

“Seeing family in that place, we felt that this would be one that we could see ourselves going into” Collins said.

Once the process began, the Appiahs had three options for the location of their newly acquired franchise: North Mesa, Tempe, or Maricopa.

“We just loved Maricopa,” Collins said. “it’s a small town and growing. We wanted a city that we could establish with and grow with.”

“We couldn’t have chosen better” Adelaide added.
