TSDLYB's first Maricopa graduation was Monday. Submitted photo

There were a few emotional moments at Maricopa’s first graduation for the Streets Don’t Love You Back Intervention Program as participants along with Rob and Lucinda Boyd shared stories and talked about the progress made in each individual’s life.

Also in attendance were MUSD school boardmember Dr. Gary Miller and Community of Hope Pastor Rusty Akers. The TSDLYB team is working to get their program into the school district to help local kids.

In the meantime, they will begin their next Intervention Program starting next Monday, Nov. 2. The program is a five-week course aimed at helping individuals resolve issues with drug, alcohol, depression, anger and suicidal thoughts and more. It is also a support group for individuals that are working to change their lives for the better and that just need to take the first steps.

If you are interested in attending the program held every Monday 4-5 p.m. at the Maricopa/Stanfield Justice Court, also check out The Streets Don’t Love You Back Movement Facebook page or their website: http://thestreetsdontloveyouback.ning.com/
