The UPS Store latest to open in Fry’s Marketplace center

Slowly but surely, Maricopa’s Fry’s Marketplace center is coming to life. The UPS Store officially opened its doors Friday, the same day Wells Fargo began celebrating its grand opening (see related story). They join Fry’s Marketplace and XTreme Fitness which opened August 31 and Lance Lane’s State Farm agency which followed a day later.

“We are excited to be a part of the ground floor of a new community,” Kathy Werner, half of the husband and wife team that owns The UPS Store, said. “We have been in customer service all of our lives and look forward to providing excellent service to Maricopa residents.”

Aiding these new businesses is the recent completion of the road construction at the entrance to the retail center. “Now that the road is fixed, we’re expecting people to know we are here and open for business,” Veronica Reeves, Wells Fargo’s branch manager said in reference to the months of delays by the Arizona Department of Transportation in finishing the John Wayne Parkway road expansion.

Many businesses will be joining Fry’s, The UPS Store, Wells Fargo and XTreme Fitness in the commercial center located on the southeast corner of John Wayne Parkway and Smith-Enke Road. Below is a list of the new businesses, their opening dates, hours and operation and web sites:
