Kent and Chrystal O’Jon, founders of Maricopa Veterans Care Center (MVCC), an international 5013c, have announced a partnership for veteran counseling with MVCC board member Amber Liermann of the Maricopa Unified School District.

In an effort to put together a quality program, they are in the planning stages with other local Maricopa partners to create support groups for Maricopa veterans and their families.

Meet-and-greets are scheduled for Jan. 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Jan. 25 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Northern Lights Therapy, 21300 N. John Wayne Pkwy., Suite No. 103.

The meetings will include group assessment needs, didactic groups with curriculum and quarterly speakers on such topics as financial literacy, PTSD, anxiety and depression.

MVCC’s founders and board members are Kent O’Jon, Chrystal Allen-O’Jon, Garry Presume, Oterias Hammann and Councilwoman Amber Liermann.

Volunteer therapists and counselors include Brianna Reinhold, LPC, owner/therapist at Northern Lights Therapy, and Lisa Mia Holden, LAMFT, marriage and family therapist at Northern Lights Therapy.
