You’re driving the green in two? You haven’t shanked a shot in ages? Your putts are near perfection? Then you need to sign up for the Third Annual Stage Coach Days Golf Tournament sponsored by the Maricopa Rotary Club.

Scheduled for Saturday, April 22, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start at The Duke at Rancho El Dorado, the cost is $100 per player. That amount includes both green and cart fees, practice balls, a divot tool, breakfast and lunch.

The Third Annual Stage Coach Days Golf Tournament will be held at The Duke at Rancho El Dorado.

Prizes will be awarded for the first three low gross team scores, the shot closest to the pin, the longest drive, the shortest drive, a hole in one (a special prize for this one) and the longest putt. Participants can also win door prizes.

Tournament chairperson, Misty McWherter, promises, “This third local tourney will be a lot of fun. The funding is for a good cause, Maricopa Summer Recreation Programs and the community pool, all in support of our local youth.”

Golfers can sign up to play this course for fun and prizes.

For the past two years the tourney has been Rotary’s largest fundraiser, but it needs and relies on community support. There are three ways to participate. You can play in the tournament (foursomes are encouraged), sponsor a tee or be a tournament sponsor.

Individual hole sponsorships are available at $250 per hole, and tournament sponsorships are available at a variety of levels. For further information, contact Rotary President Scott Ries at (602) 330-3585 or McWherter at (520) 568-1446, or via email.
