An accident closed the southbound lanes late Thursday afternoon on State Route 347 at Bowlin Road.
Maricopa police remained on the scene at the intersection, which reopened to traffic about 6:55 p.m.
The accident, which occurred about 5 p.m., may have involved a young bicyclist, according to one report on social media, though another said it was an older woman.
The northbound lanes were unaffected.
