The standoff between police and an unidentified gunman holed up in a Rancho El Dorado home remains unresolved as of 3:25 p.m. With school scheduled to dismiss at 3:35, students who normally walk home will have to be picked up by an adult, according to Principal Elizabeth Allison.

Students who typically are dismissed by drive-through, park-and-pickup, and the bus will be dismissed using their regular procedures.

The school, which has been on lockdown since shots were fired in the 41000 block of Sunland Drive this morning, will release students beginning at 3:35 as usual. MPD will be on site to assist with traffic flow during dismissal, but the school is advising parents to prepare for delays.
