Veterans Day Parade to kick off weekend of saluting service to U.S.

The annual Veterans Day Parade, when Maricopa honors those who have served the country in the armed forces, is scheduled for this Saturday.

The parade is set to step off from the Central Arizona College Maricopa Campus at 9 a.m. and make its way to Leading Edge Academy.

A luncheon is to follow at 11 a.m. at Leading Edge Academy, capping the day with food for veterans, their families and first responders.

VETERANS DAY PARADE STREET CLOSURES
Please be advised of these closures Saturday starting at 7:00 a.m.:
• West Adams Way and North Falcon Lane.
• North Porter Road southbound lanes, just south of Pacana Park.
• West Adams Way westbound at North Quinn Drive.
• North Porter Road and Bowlin/Alan Stephens Parkway.
• West Bowlin Road and North Emma Lane.
• West Bowlin Road west of Smith Farms Circle (across from CAC Regent Road) both directions.
• Smith Farms Circle and West Tamara Lane with a southbound restriction.
The roads will reopen later in the day following the parade.
