The rollover of an extended-cab pickup on White and Parker Road Friday claimed the lives of two teenagers from Casa Grande.

According to Gregory Hess, M.D., Pima County chief medical examiner, the two who died in the crash were Jenna Lattea, 16, and Quirina Martinez, 15.

Both were students at Vista Grande High School. The Casa Grande Union High School District sent out a letter Monday, informing families that two of its students had died in the crash and two others survived.

The incident, investigated by Ak-Chin first responders with support from Pinal County Sheriff’s deputies, closed the road most of the day.

Two lifeline helicopters were also deployed to the scene.
