Maricopa Mayor Christian Price spoke about the importance of federal assistance in getting the funding for infrastructure projects that will benefit Maricopa during last week’s visit by Sen. Kyrsten Sinema. That assistance would come as part of Arizona’s share of the bipartisan infrastructure bill passed recently by Congress. Price said without that funding, the city would be in a bind no ability to upgrade roads, bridges and highways to meet the demands of a rapidly growing state like Arizona.

“The city of Maricopa, the 347 is always our first priority,” Price said. “The 238, East-West Corridor, I-10 widening, there is also the 24 as it runs north and south through Pinal County, these are all connective issues between Maricopa County and Pima County that have to come through one of the fastest growing areas in the entire state.”
