Wall to wall music planned for MUSD Saturday

The Performing Arts Center will be filled with music Saturday during the first-ever Music-a-Thon.

For more than seven hours, band and choir students in Maricopa Unified School District will entertain at intervals of 15 to 30 minutes. The Sixth Grade Choir will kick things off at 1:45 p.m.

Then it will be a musical anthology from Maricopa High School, Desert Wind Middle School and Maricopa Wells Middle School. Bands, ensembles and choirs on the stage of the PAC, which is on the high school campus at 45012 W. Honeycutt Ave.

There will be 15-minute breaks at 3:15 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6:20 p.m.

Admission is free. Everyone is invited.

The day culminates in combined bands performances, closing out the Music-a-Thon at 9 p.m.
