This week has been terribly cold in Maricopa, but that’s going to change in the weekend ahead as temps will jump into the 60s. Rain showers are also likely Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Today is sunny with a high near 54. Tonight will be clear with a low around 28.

Friday is likely to be sunny with a high near 63. At night, expect mostly clear skies with a low around 34.

Saturday is forecast to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. During the night, showers are likely, mainly after 11 p.m., with cloudy skies and a low around 42. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch are possible.

Sunday, showers are likely, mainly before 11 a.m., with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 57. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible. Sunday night a 30 percent chance of showers will continue, mainly before 11 p.m. Skies will be partly cloudy with a low around 37.

Sunny skies are expected to return Monday.
