For the second time in less than three weeks, Global Water is working to repair a water main break causing traffic delays in town.

The break occurred about noon on Porter Road, just north of Honeycutt, according to Jon Corwin, vice president and general manager of Global Water. One lane of traffic will be closed until repairs are completed.

“The break caused reduced water pressure throughout the system,” Corwin wrote in an email. “The failed mainline has been isolated and pressure throughout the system is normal at this time. Crews are in route to make repairs. While the area is still being assessed, at least one lane will need to be closed for the repair.”

A Global Water main break in the early morning hours of July 8 caused lane closures and delays on Bowlin Road near Central Arizona College.
