Super-hot temperatures highlights this weekend’s weather in Maricopa. The excessive heat warning issued by the National Weather Service will stay in effect through Monday.

Today, temperatures hit 116 in some parts of town. Tonight will remain clear, and the low will be around 76 degrees.

Saturday, expect more of those sunny-and-hot conditions with a high near 116. The day will be breezy with west-northwest winds at 10-15 mph in the afternoon. The overnight low will be around 77.

Sunday, the high is forecast to be 115, with sunny skies and light wind. Sunday night will be mostly clear with a low near 74.

Monday is expected to hit 112, keeping temperatures over the “excessive heat” mark, but winds will increase.

Residents are urged to remain cautious when outside if temperatures are over 107.

Temperatures are expected to cool incrementally next week to next Friday’s high reaches only 102.
