Towering dust storms have swept Maricopa and surrounding areas in consecutive storms last week. The National Weather Service predicts more monsoonal activity this week. The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorist to avoid travel when dust storms are looming, but provide tips if drivers find themselves traveling through the red, thick blanket of dust.
