MONDAY
The Streets Don’t Love You Back starts a second five-week session to help youth escape the street life, meeting at 4 p.m. at the Maricopa/Stanfield Justice Court.

TUESDAY
Coffee with Friends of the Maricopa Library is at 1:30 p.m. Meet every Tuesday for refreshments and conversation and get acquainted with the library. All ages welcome.

Maricopa City Council meets at 7 p.m. at City Hall. The agenda includes funding the Senior Expo and Health Fair, an intergovernmental agreement with Pinal County Flood Control District for improvements at Copper Sky, a new liquor license application from Bead & Berry Coffee House and a preliminary plat approval for subdividing Red Valley Ranch into 467 lots at Farrell and Anderson roads.

WEDNESDAY
Maricopa Unified School District Governing Board meets at 6:30 p.m. The agenda includes a discussion of a possible budget override election, possible approval of a contract with Skoolive and approval of new personnel, including a science teacher at Desert Wind Middle School.

A Veterans Day Event is presented in the amphitheater on the Maricopa campus of Central Arizona College. All community members and students are invited to celebrate and honor Veteran’s for their service to our country.

FRIDAY
Frozen Friday returns at noon at Graysmark Academy with a meet-and-greet for Princess Anna, snacks and fun.

The Yardbirds play a free concert in The Lounge at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino. The English rock band formed in London in 1963. The group’s hits included “For Your Love,” “Over Under Sideways Down” and “Heart Full of Soul.”

SATURDAY
5K Veterans Run & Pancake Breakfast starts with a flag-raising ceremony at 8 a.m. at Copper Sky and is hosted by the American Legion. Entry is $20.

Concert in the Park at Copper Sky starts at 6 p.m. with the Leading Edge Academy Youth Choir followed by headliner Come Back Buddy. Grab your family and friends, bring a blanket, chair, picnic or non-alcoholic beverage and enjoy the free show.

Our Lady of Grace Annual Gala “An Evening in Rome” is from 6 p.m. to midnight in the ballroom at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino. All proceeds go to the building fund. There will be dinner, dancing and an auction.

SATURDAY-SUNDAY
Art on the Veranda expands to two days this year at the Duke at Rancho El Dorado. The juried art show with artisans from Maricopa and the region provides an opportunity to view and buy works of art and meet the artist.
