A Ray of Hope meeting of Narcotics Anonymous is at 7 p.m. at Maricopa Chamber of Commerce, 44480 W. Honeycutt Road, Suite 106.

MONDAY
 
Tumbling, pom and cheer class for ages 4-12 starts at 5 p.m. Mondays through April 25 at Copper Sky Multigenerational Center, 44345 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

National Crime Victims’ Week Movie in the Park is “Heavens Rain,” hosted by Maricopa Police Department at 5 p.m. at Copper Sky Regional Park, 44345 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Chef Cody’s Culinary Adventure starts at 5:30 p.m. Mondays through June 27 at Copper Sky Multigenerational Center, 44345 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Cooking lesson from cuisines around the world. Classes will include interactive cooking demonstrations.

Maricopa Planning & Zoning Commission meets at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 39700 W. Civic Center Plaza, for a public hearing on a major amendment to the land use map and a request on a minor text amendment to the subdivision ordinance.

Library Astronomy Night starts at 7 p.m. at Maricopa Public Library, 41600 W. Smith-Enke Road. Local astronomers will have telescopes set up for the public in the parking lot.

Coffee with Friends of the Maricopa Library starts at 1:30 p.m. at Maricopa Public Library, 41600 W. Smith-Enke Road.

Maricopa Children’s Theatre: Beauty Is a Beast is 6-8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Copper Sky Multigenerational Center, 44345 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

WEDNESDAY

Hip Hop Dance Class is at 4 p.m. for age 4-7 at Copper Sky Multigenerational Center, 44345 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Maricopa Unified School District Governing Board meets at 6:30 p.m. in the District office building, 44150 W. Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway. There will be a budget discussion and an academic update from Maricopa Elementary School.

THURSDAY

All-AZ/USA Scholarship Workshop is 3-4:15 p.m. on B112-Net 1 on the Maricopa campus of Central Arizona College, 17945 N. Regent Drive.

First Steps Ballet and Tumbling class for ages 3-4 starts at 4 p.m. at Copper Sky Multigenerational Center, 44345 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

SATURDAY

Maricopa Little League Opening Ceremony starts at 9 a.m., ending the season for the younger leagues and starting the season for Minors and Majors at Pacana Park, 19000 N. Porter Road.

Maricopa Fishing Derby is from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for ages 5-12 at Copper Sky Regional Park, 55345 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Kids get rod, bait and free hot dog.

Latin Dance Class for adults 16 and up starts at 6:30 p.m. each Saturday through April 30 at Copper Sky Multigenerational Center, 44345 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
