Maricopa City Council Work Session begins at 6 p.m. at Maricopa City Hall, 39700 W. Civic Center Plaza. The Council will hear an update presentation by Dan Marum, consultant for the Area Transportation Plan (ATP) on various project subcomponents, and next steps toward completion of Phase I of the ATP.

Maricopa City Council meeting follows at 7 p.m. at Maricopa City Hall, 39700 W. Civic Center Plaza. The agenda includes the adoption of an agreement with Meritage Homes of Arizona, a design and construction agreement with ED3 for the Copper Sky Police Substation, the limited acceptance of credit card payments at City Hall with a surcharge up to 2.75 percent, a proposal for the COMET transit system to operate its Special Summer Shuttle between residential neighborhoods and Copper Sky and more.

The Solar Decision – Purchase vs. Lease is a free presentation at 6 p.m. at Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship, 20800 N. John Wayne Pkwy, Suite 108. Paul Melnik of Advanced Energy Systems hosts an invigorating discussion on the advantages of using solar vs.conventional power sources. Also update attendees on the changes which Arizona utilities are implementing.
